1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Wow that's exactly what I was thinking :)

Yah the suede thing--I got two drops of oil on one of my suede boots some time ago, and it has basically ruined them. I've tried about 94k different ways of cleaning them, I've even tried staining them a darker colour, and nothing works. Fear the oily pizza. Fear it.

You do fittings at my house or you have a location in the CBD?

The dungeon "recreation room" in my house does not have great lighting on account of the lack of windows.

So....just wear a full set of tails with a white waistcoat. Problem solved.

Oh, and please - no ruffs on the shirt. Honeycomb only.

    Typical.

And no I am not going for the weed or hashish. Our son's god mother lives there.

Good timing, given that the Rijksmuseum finally re-opened last month after being closed for renovations for the past decade!

Considering dropping some dough on the TM Lewin tailored fit shirts.

How 'tailored' are they (I dont want them showing off love handles :( )? Also, what is the fabric of 'easy iron' shirting like?

    I can't decide what TBM wants :(

CBD = navy, dark grey or mid grey 120 super marino - normal notch lapels, double vents, horn buttons in black with tortoise shell fleck.

Funzies = Light grey flannel w/white shepards check or navy cotton - both deconstructed, with wide or normal lapels and corozo buttons.

+1 on the second suit TBM. Make sure you get the camo lining with it.

To go with your cam shoelaces we talk about this morning. Matching shoe laces and suit lacing is next level stuff.

American Tailors in Melbourne has C&J Islay wingtip boots for AUD595. Built on the 325 365 last, these are dark brown scotchgrain derby wingtip boots with speed hooks and a Dainite sole and are very difficult to get generally. Right now, they have a pile of sizes there but stock is, of course, limited. I understand they had to wait quite a while to get them.

If you don't want to or can't get the Lindrick, this might be an alternative.

More info about the boot at http://www.jamesbondlifestyle.com/product/crockett-jones-islay

Peddler...pusher...do not listen to him, spreading his shoe addiction around (unless of course you want these boots, then hell, go for it and thank him for the heads up).

Hi Gerry, does the Lindrick have the same 325 C & J last?

And how about more photos of your Lindricks? I like to see how it is being worn in.

Couple questions for anyone in Melbourne:

    1. Where's the best place to find cheap raw denim in Melbourne? Looking for $120 ish, took a search around the forum, but finding stuff from a few years back, if anyone knows anything a bit more current it'll be appreciated.

    2. Does anyone know of any jobs or anyone hiring at the moment? Canadian on a working holiday visa finding a tough time finding a job that isn't hospitality (no training at all). Have tons of experience in retail, customer service, data entry, some admin stuff, etc. A lot of the recruitment agencies that deal with that kind of work seem apprehensive about hiring travelers. Can PM resume, discuss further if there is anything out there.

Loving the city so far, thanks for any help guys,

    Ryan

The Lindrick is also built on the 325 last.

edit: Sorry, the Islay is built on the 365 last

I'll put some more photos up soon.

That's what James Bond wore in Skyfall, I hear it's quite in demand on ebay and such, so go for it if you want it!

Everytime you call they always seem to run out of stock....
