1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

About 2 weeks to receive the delivery. You still have time. Early Sept is spring, yeah?

**I was lusting after Drakes for the longest time, but it's like 450. Want to grab some more shoes this year, so holding off the Drakes. I think these will serve their purpose for a little while.

Anyone want any Saphir products? Might do an order from Valmour and would be keen to split shipping if anyone is so inclined.

Do any of the members who frequent South Melbourne know of any nearby shoe repair places that are trustworthy enough to fit simple toe caps? I've not had it done before so don't know how skilled or otherwise it is. I imagine it's just hammering the things on but given the toes are a bit worn it might be harder than that?

I'll be taking the shoes to Rekaris for more extensive repair at some point, but I'm looking for something to prevent further wear in the meantime. Thanks for any suggestions!

Too much polish, specially wax, can prevent the conditioner from soaking in. If you have been using wax polish you need to remove it prior to giving the shoes a drink. Shoes shouldn't be allowed to get thirsty.

I'd imagine the beggar man thief blokes might have someone in the area.

Although if it is this bloke he might not be working for a while. I did hear he tapped someone.

I find that leaving a linen PS in a jacket causes it to sag a bit and not look so good, because the cloth has so much memory. Better to store folded, and then form it up in the morning, it's got more spring that way,

Hey thanks for the reply and the pics, much appreciated. I like the brown in the first image can see that going well with Navy/grey, and the polished Aldwychs' above look pretty good. Almost placed an order for just the black churchills this morning, will see about adding in one of the browns again now :)

The sleeveless cardis look pretty good iSurg, the only thing that gives me pause is that they are lambswool rather than merino. Would merino not be thinner and therefore better for layering under a jacket?

Sounds like a sensible haul blah.
    Well except the "fun" socks.
But then even fun socks are 100% on no socks.

I was impressed with Uniglo jeans and also linen/cotton casual jackets - except some jackets were bum freezers - others seemed normal. Some ok linen shirts too.
I hope when Uniglo gets here we don't get a special crap limited line made just for the Oz market like others do.

There will be no special anything for this market - just the usual crap out of season stock that didn't sell in the nthn hemisphere...
