1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

    +1

I work in an area of Sydney that has a lot of immigrants from Iraq and that part of the world. I feel for those people as much as I do for our American friends. That is all I meant. People are people, no matter where they're from, and I feel for all who suffer through acts of violence and evil.

What about people who wear socks with sandals, I mean can you honestly say you would feel for them if they suffered acts of violence

They are wearing socks, so that puts them at least one rung above the apes...

I don't know if it still happens, but when I was doing a lot of competitive and semi-competitive mountain biking in the mid-1990s, I knew a lot of people who would finish a race, pull off their shoes and, still wearing their cycling socks, slip on a pair of Masseur sandals or something similar and pad around in their socks and sandals whilst cooling down after the race.

A crime against fashion, to be sure, but a strangely comfortable and relaxing one.

To swing the topic back to fashion, albeit with a focus on cycling, what's with cycling socks nowadays? Socks used to be very short when I was cycling - basically ankle socks - and were typically block colours, usually white but sometimes black, grey or a brighter colour.

Nowadays, however, it seems that the trend is to wear socks that come halfway up the calf and which are quite often dotted or striped with lurid patterns. Personally, I think that it looks bad, but de gustibus non est disputandum and all that.

Then again, maybe I'm just becoming cranky and intolerant as I slide into middle-age...

FXH might let them off the hook because of the socks.

Is there a bigger 'look at me' sport than cycling?

Yeah they should all be online by the end of the weekend all going well or mon-tues at the latest. I'll let everyone know when they are up. I've still got quite a lot more to previews to come though tonight/tomorrow.

How's it all going? You've had fittings for the first customers if I'm not mistaken, so will we be seeing the first commissions coming in soon?
