Wut? I find them both to be too short. How tall are you?
173cms - more 171-172, but I say 173 for pride. (5ft 8-9). You are over 6 ft. Sometimes I regret my parents not putting me on the stretching rack or force feeding me growth hormone chicken .
A 36R is too long, by about 1 inch. The sleeves are too long by about 2-3 cms and there is excess fabric at the back of the jacket. It is only about $100 in alterations. I am probably meant to be a 36S on their scaling system, but they don't sell a 36S which makes both brands redundant as they are essentially the same cutting brands. They cater more for the taller/manlier men.
It is refreshing hearing people have the complete opposite problems . Anyway, it just means I have to save up for MTM.
Quote: Guys this proves a theory I've been working on that some people have long arms, some people have short arms, and some people have arms that are jussssst right.
Going to get my bale suits on thursday. Hope they have plenty in stock
puny asians are not compatible with just about any brand in Australia other than the ones that offer million different slave lengths per neck size shirts. in terms off suit sizing,mj bale probably as close as you can get to right jacket length of any brand that's half decent and not offering multiple lengths.
You've got to laugh.
Yep, I did when I read that.
Um guys, has anyone, um seen this: http://www.theiconic.com.au/Manhatten-64363.html
I was checking it out earlier to see if any of their suiting be on sale.
speaking off sales, got myself one of the mj bale knit ties on 25% off sale Sunday. now the men's shop decides to have 30 off site wide and$20 sign up voucher. damn it!
Jeez, might be a good time to get that Xavier suit if anyone wants it.
I bought extra, extra pointy black Windsor Smith shoes from Lowes. As the shoes were so pointy, I kicked a skirting board at home, thinking they were leather I didn't expect much to happen. Instead, the shiny plastic coating at the tip of the toe chipped off, like paint from a wall, revealing a cardboard like substance underneath. I wasted $110 and only wore them once.
I am going to get some white onitsuka tigers. Has anyone successfully worn them with chinos before?
I'll still give it a go and hope there is one or two cm that can be let out (my PJ suits have functional cuffs and still plenty of room to let out).
not sure tigers would suit chinos, though other sneakers would.. with the rolled up ankle expose look.
Sigh, was entering purchasing details for this when stock ran out http://www.themensshop.com.au/Herringbone-Wool-Silver-Patch-Blazer/Mens-Blazer/?err=options_stock
$169 for a Herringbone jacket was too good to miss.
