1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Mate just beware I've ordered one of these and they are pretty large because they are designed to carry GBP.

Also, on this whole shipping nonsense, if I ever feel the shipping cost is exhorbitant I will usually (especially if it's a small retailer) just drop them a note and ask if they have any cheaper options not listed on the site. Simple.

+1 has worked for me, I never really need anything super urgently. If it takes a couple of weeks and costs 50% of the initial postage, Im fine with that.

Hi AJ, yep the top one isn't too far off from what I've seen so far.

But I've only seen pictures so far and will get some samples before xmas when the new knit ties come. I don't expect bulk to be here before March and with 90% of my clients in Australia it's not too much of a worry anyway.

I'm not sure about special orders with the knits as it's new territory for me and I know the min is 8 units per colour, I do like the Donegal like look of this one though.

So far I'm thinking a plain grey like the top one, navy & Forest green but have been having ideas of the same grey as the plain with navy dots, which I think would be great for winter. Might get the feelers out at an Aussie members tie again in the new year also for winter.

On what occasions do you wear cashmere blends?

Thanks Jason, sounds great. I too like the donegal type flecks in ties. Enjoying see Henry Carter go from strength to strength.

Thanks for the advice, though that might suit me since all my others wallets have been GBP size (should I do a specific order for a wallet to hold Scottish notes, which for some reason, though legal tender one can never use outside Scotland?)

With regards to postage, that is smart and sensible advice (as if the Australian Members thread would offer anything else?) and I have heard of others having success with that technique.

I had one, loved it, and then it was stolen. not spending another 150 to replace it. stupid mont blanc.

edit: so if anyone sees someone with a MB pouch, look inside for the initial "K" and then PM me.:)

Elvish, I'm sorry to hear that.

If you're still looking for a replacement, you could try Malford of London (he's a StyleForum member with an excellent website). He has a Duchamp leather coin pouch for sale for GBP35. I can't remember how much he charges for shipping but the cost has always been reasonable when I've purchased ties from him.

appreciate the link - i've bought from him before; an aquascutuom(? the spelling could go wrong) jacket and the shipping was very reasonable - shipping doesn't usually bother me anyway. but tbh, i now collect my coins, put them in a skull jar and at the end of the year cash it in and spend at the casino.

and so nobody gets the wrong impression. i had a voucher at MB as my father swapped pens. i do not have 150 to dispose on something to hold coins - wallet on the other hand is different as many have pointed out it lasts for a long time, speaking of i currently use this beast, but in tan

I'm sorry, but if you're an Aussie bloke and you carry a coin purse it better be one of these:

    Hi fellow Aussies,

Have been lurking about for a while but decided to finally join and seek some advice. Despite being reasonably versed with the usual - almost styleforum like - business attire and trends, shoes is one area though where I've never paid much attention or given much thought towards. However recently I've come to acquire a few different pairs and am starting to appreciate the difference they make to the overall look and outfit and wondering how I ever did without.

Which brings me to the advice point, I like the look of the Allen Edmonds Walnut Daltons (working my way up to the Shell Cordovans, love the colour and look of them) and after deciding to grab a pair I noticed they don't actually ship to Australia....so just wondering how you guys have managed to acquire your pairs or if there are any other online channels to go through? Any tips greatly appreciated.

I avoid coins ( and notes ) and use plastic safer with a son out of work.

Pink Socks the Ettinger site is simply pornographic if I didn't pick up a BB Cordovan last year I would be bashing the plastic right now.

Anyone who's still after the Henry Carter navy grenadine can get one from Ludlows - they still had two or three left when I went by. Not sure how much longer they'll be there though.
