Ryback it's not a fake. I managed the polo store in the QVB for a while around 8 years ago and I can tell you there is no fake goods being sold in PRL store in Australia. Like Lacoste there are different labels and names for things depending on the region being sold in.

Posted this in a jeans thread but thought you guys might be of some assistance too, thanks.

^^ The Levis are tempting me since they are like, $40 (although would need some tapering). I need a denim expert to convince me otherwise!

Blue label - cheapest, attainable RL
Black Label - moderately expensive, aspirational label but within means
Purple Label - super expensive, for the guy who owns two ferraris and a boat $700 shirt type prices.

Nothing to do with men or ladies.

On your shirt tag the item code is one clue. See how it says SS CM ... The CM means custom, CL would be classic.

However, The biggest clue is the "custom fit" tag on the shirt

Its real if u bought it at the RL store....

Classics refers to the collection and not the fit.

    Thoughts?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALLEN-EDMON...4674646?pt=US_Men_s_Shoes&hash=item416bfde156
    vs
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Salvatore-F...5936399?pt=US_Men_s_Shoes&hash=item20cbab058f

These are size 7US; my Meermin's are size 6UK in the Ama last (wide but not too wide) I'm a 6UK in most shoes (sneakers what have you) for those who have Allen Edmonds do you reckon I would be ok with these. Also..are they really cordovan?

    Thanks

Also for you guys; (from Put This On) http://www.ebay.com/sch/merchant/pa...t=&_ex_kw=&_mPrRngCbx=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_sop=12

    Hi all,

I was wondering anyone could share a good place to get cufflinks. So far, I've listed Kent Wang as a good one (and they do have good links.) Any more that I should look into?

The new bloke davidatkins.com.au has some nice ones.

If your budget doesn't go that far, ebay is your best bet.

Well, what a bummer. I spent hours trying suit brands in DJs, with no real success. Zegna stood out, as it would, but stock was not so good (and non-sale price is not ideal). Generally, chests were too small, and waists were too big (probably more than tailors can correct). Trousers also presented problems, being designed for chicken legs, or those lacking in glutei maximi. Personal taste had no room to operate, as things were almost universally plain, in low super grade fabric, black or almost black, with standard notch lapels and hidden stitching. Most of the jackets were fused. [IMG]

I think I might just have to learn to not care what I'm wearing somehow.
