It's ok, Toby. I laughed [IMG]

At least we'll be ok if the heating fails and we need to build a fire ...

Plus you could do a nice cedar-smoked pork loin at the same time

True. I don't mind taking the $5 hit on shipping though.

Have you used these trees before?

Not the Allan Edmonds trees but I have a very similar pair that I got some time ago from A Fine Pair Of Shoes.

    Why do you ask?

The woodlore ones are great, don't worry. Epics for boots, the standard one for everything else.

(You'll struggle to fit the epics into most shoes unless they have a high vamp IMO).

Thanks, lachyzee. I've been using the other Woodlore shoetrees in my boots so I'll swap them out when the Epics arrive.

I am thinking of getting a few myself, and I was actually looking at Herring's shoe trees, which are a bit more expensive. This might save me a bit more money, but Made In China always give me pause.

If you're in Melbourne, I'm happy to bring in a pair and let you examine them for yourself once I get them.

I had to repair the only cedar trees I got from Herring with super glue. I doubt they were damaged in transit, the "knob" at the heel was loose and fell out when I opened the parcel, so I had to glue it back in. To be fair, could just be a one off, and I never chased them about it because it isn't worth the trouble.

Thanks for that Gerry. I am in Sydney unfortunately. I do believe that Mister Minit kiosk at Town Hall station were flogging the same trees for AUD$50 per pair. I think it is just my own prejudice re Made In China. I have a pair of Herring trees too, and I am rather fond of them. For all I know, those might also be Made in China.
