They're about AUD$140 on Mr Porter and sometimes around AUD$100 on the bay
As much as I would like a pair of those laced drivers. I'm still finding it hard to justify paying more than 100 bucks for a pair.
I would really like to grab a pair of those in dark burgundy/red for 100 bucks though.
Yeah those Herring ones look good. Can't decide if I prefer these: http://www.herringshoes.cxo.uk/product-info.php?&brandid=6&shoeid=3525
i've yet to pop my boat shoe cherry.
anyone have any preferences? sperry? sebago?
They're essentially the same thing but IMO go all out and get the sperry gold cup to stand out a fraction from the boat shoe wearing masses;
Navy Sperry Top-Siders from the 'bay. Done.
I did not want to put these up on B&S because I think it would be a waste of time.
These two pairs of shoes can be yours for $20 a pair. Local pick up in Melbourne CBD. Interstate buyers please PM me.
Size 42, suede chukka boots from Aquila (both pairs are Made in Italy). One pair is chocolate brown, the other is taupe. They're probably some of the nicest things to come out of Aquila, suede upper, leather sole, partially leather lined. I got them in 2009. They fit like a UK 8.5-9. Only the taupe pair will come with waxed taupe laces. The chocolate brown does not come with laces.
If you want them, PM me, otherwise they go to an op shop.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
Navy. Aldi. Indentical to the ones TobaisJ posted. Too cheap for anything else.
No Boat shoes but a few pairs of suede tod driving shoes
I have a pair of Sebago Docksides. Sperry invented the boat shoe with the Topsider. When I bought mine, I wanted to get Sperry, but couldn't find the amaretto colour in my size in Melbourne and I needed them that day as I was travelling. I ended up getting Sebago's instead. Some people are fiercely loyal to one particular brand. I can't say I'm one of them.
Mine look like this - http://instagram.com/p/hKJEj/
sperrys run about 1/2 a size tight. get the cloud collection ones on sale.
BTW dudes, I'm selling some ties here
gents, while we're on the topic of boat shoes are loafers, does anyone have a recommendation for a tan leather penny or tassel loafer?
Missed out on the C&Js, but did manage to snag some Mexican silver links today for $20.
