1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Windowpane1967, you've put an extra 'n' in your RSVP note.

I'm actually getting some swatches from a different mill at present that my maker says are very durable, as I have relayed the concerns over the grenadine pulling to him. I should have them before Xmas and have stock in march all going well. Grenadine is an open, looser weave though so is a lot more susceptible to this than a tightly woven fabric. I have read a few old threads on this and David Hober recommends pulling them through with a special tool though I must admit I do snip them neatly when one pops up, but I've managed to cut them down to almost none now by keeping my nails trimmed and hands moisturised.

This is the thread I was thinking of from AAAA.

I have been very happy with the belts I just received from:
    http://www.equusleather.co.uk/

Apart from a couple of them, they're very reasonable prices particularly when I compare with some 'Made in China' local purchases. Pretty happy buying from the UK due to saving on the 17.5% VAT + GST here... or is it 20% VAT now.. they keep bloody changing it!

Very funny. Am not familiar with this Dexter character, Wallander was the preferred choice, however, am downloading Dexter series over the weekend, looks fantastic. Saw snippets of it last night on some doco on American TV. Thanks for this, made me laugh

Interesting you say that - on delivery I realised there would be no one available to collect the package, so I rang up and arranged to pick it up the same day, only had to wait 10 minutes at the depot for the driver to come back and collected it without any dramas.

Interesting comment from Ken the Herring customer service manager - apparently the 10.5 F would be 3-4mm longer, but slightly narrower than the 10.0F. Does this sound correct?

Incidentally, anyone want to buy a pair of Church's? Perth in Cocoa Suede & Legate in Black Calf, both 10.0F, worn once each. $220 plus postage

I can confirm a few things about Double Monk. They will open by 4 December and stock the following:

John Lobb, GJ Cleverley, Edward Green and Crockett & Jones, Rubinacci accessories and a full range of Saphir shoe polish.

Cannot wait to give these guys a look when I next get to Melbourne.

+1. Be interesting to see what they charge for the Saphir, given I and many others here get it sent to us at a pretty good price.

I hope they have done their market research. I wear John Lobb and Edward Green, but I can't bring myself to pay Australian prices for them when they are readily available at cheaper prices elsewhere over the phone or online. Henry Bucks still charge 2,000 for Edward Green. I hope this new store's pricing is slightly more competitive.
