Can I just say that I consider that everyone who doesn't have a custom Avatar picture is committing an act of visual terrorism every time they post.

Why?

Well I'm glad you asked! I'm sick of looking at those blah (not blahman) stock photos. The ugly ties one, the cotton thread plus US flag one, the tan shoes one--yuck. Aren't we supposed to be about aesthetics all up in here? Plus there's something just...irritating about having to scan for a name rather than simply recognize a picture (I know, first world problems, but still).

Speaking of blahman, I'm fine with the blahman/F.Corbera/Naomi Klein 'no logo' approach, it's the stock photos that get on my goat.

Just a heads up for the Brisbane boys, I have a few Isaia and Borrelli ties in the shop marked down to $69. PM/Text me if you want pics, or alternatively pop in for a chat if you're ever near Chermside.

Hi SF!

First time poster, long time lurker.

Just bought some socks for the (potentially future) father in law, and one of Jason's excellent Blue Plaid ties for myself all from Henry Carter. Looking forward to receiving them! He's raved about Pantherella before, and bemoaned the lack of Australian suppliers - so nice one stocking them, Jason!

Would anybody know of a decent place to get some nice cuff links for him as well? He's a bit of a Mont Blanc fan boy, and I was thinking something simple in a silver with maybe a nice pearl or onyx or even carbon fibre inlay? Doesn't have to be Mont Blanc, but something roughly equivalent.

Many thanks in advice, e-Gents!

Cheers,

Alex

Welcome to the forum and thanks for the order, I'll get it despatched on Monday for you.

I'm a button cuff bloke myself so cant help too much with the links.

Problem with shirts for me always seem like there are never any shirts with 33 sleeves!

I'm after a SF opinion on the above?
Just not sure on the 'square-ish toe'
Thanks

They're driving mocs, they don't count towards the square toe hate. I'm more worried about the fact that they're used. Drivers = high likelihood of owner not wearing socks. and they're $200. I probably wouldn't buy drivers $200 new, since once the rubber bits are worn down, they're going in the bin. with drivers, Zara is good enough for me.
