I will not laugh at the misfortune of others.

Can anyone recommend where I can get a pair of brown leather gloves in Sydney? Just after something stylish, lined and warmed for Canberra life.

I have 2 pairs of Meermin currently on the way to Sydney. Both on Hiro lasts, and praying that they fit. I think there is a shop in Surry Hills selling , but do not know their prices.

Meermin have no wholesale program for retailers, I've chatted with Pepe quite a bit about it and would be selling them myself if they did, so it must be another brand selling in Sydney. Your not thinking of that small shoe shop just up from central are you?

Gents, I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a tailor that would be willing to take my measurements for some shirts. I work in South Melbourne, so preferably somewhere nearby or in the CBD.

The time has come for some new work shirts and a few formal dress shirts. I've got quite a large neck, soI find it difficult to find OTR shirts that fit. I've read through the Modern Tailor thread and given the generally positive feedback, thought I'd give it a go. I've got a few shirts that fit relatively well, but I'm thinking it might be a good chance to see a tailor and get properly measured.

Is there anyone that you can recommend that would take good measurements? The alternative would be to go and visit P Johnson and have a few shirts made, and use them for future reference. That does not morally sit well with me, so would much prefer to pay a tailor to take my measurements.

    Thanks for your advice!

i've read for MT, best to take measurements of your best fitting shirt rather than actual body measurements.

Yes, that is the shop. I think they sold Carminas not Meermin. Just wondering, does Northampton shoe manufacturers wholesale at a higher price to Australia than the rest of the world?

My two cents on Modern Tailor. I found their shirts to be of reasonable quality for the cost. However, their customer service leaves a bit to be desired. I received a shirt that had a burn hole in the front of it. I sent them photos and they told me they would replace it. However, they didn't follow through with this. I have had much better experiences with My Tailor. I also recommend Biased Cut as another option.

their CS can be suspect. if you keep at them they will come through though, even if you have to post in their affiliate thread.

worth following through for the one shirt even if you never use them again
