Gents,

I am looking for advice about building a capsule wardrobe. Long time lurker and have learned an incredible amount.

I desperately need to purchase some basic capsule wardrobe essentials as I am seriously lacking. What I need are:

- block coloured tshirts
- polo's
- trousers

What/Where is the current recommendation to purchase the basics. I need to buy local as I have a pretty big gut that I am working on getting rid off. Almost certainly will need to repurchase in 12 months.

Gents,

Gaziano Girling are proposing to have a trunk show (MTO only) in Sydney and Melbourne in late November. See link below:

I asked about bespoke but apparently they are not taking any bespoke orders at the moment.

Apparently they have no date or place!

For casual you should look at Uniqlo. Traditional cut chinos and linen shirts look fine and are good value.

Also check out DJ’s constant sales.

The AFL grand final is played. The NRL grand final is done. The Rugby World Cup marches towards its (inevitable?) conclusion.....and the wasteland of a summer of cricket is upon us. Merde!

Spring racing carnivals

Motorcycle Grand Prix

Not bad to start with, if cricket's not your thing.

Lads - shoe question:

I have a few shoes that could use a resoling. RMW boots and some Pediwear brogues.

I always find them very uncomfortable to walk longerish distances in (say ~3-5km), really kills my feet.

I'm trying to work out if there's a way to resole them that ALSO makes them more comfortable for longer walks. Advice?

@LonerMatt Mongrel Innersoles I had them in a pair of RM garden boots. RMW also do inserts.

Scholl gel active innersoles for the brogues.

Baxter and Black re-do the cork filling when they do a resole, that might help
