Nice Gerry. Great style!

For me it’s mostly chinos or sometimes slacks, typically paired with an OCBD or long sleeve polo. Sometimes I’ll wear higher waisted jeans which can appear more smart. I do tend to wear an odd jacket when I can, but typically only in the cooler months.
I find if I want to look more dressed, a white shirt will do the trick. Or so comments have me believe.
I’m one of only 20 out of 150 in the office that will wear this though. And one of only 3-4 that will don a jacket. Most will wear a combo of these but then throw in white sneakers, a t-shirt or skinny jeans. Even very casual flannels have started to come out.

I might have told this anecdote before, but when I started my current job, I turned up in a navy odd jacket, grey trousers, a Brooks Brothers shirt with a button-down collar, and a knit tie. By StyleForum standards, I was dressed casually!

My new manager met me at the entrance to the office, raised an eyebrow, and said, "You're wearing a suit, and a tie?!"

As I walked around the corner to my new desk, I noticed that the bloke sitting in the pod next to me was wearing a t-shirt, faded black jeans, and Dunlop Volleys.
I wonder did his attire come from Lowes?

Yep, that sounds familiar.

I have now stopped wearing a tie though.

So what are the CM peeps wearing in the office these days?

Essentially what I was wearing pre-Covid: OCBD, semi-formal jacket, chino's, etc

Only you can't wear actual polished shoes anymore. That's illegal in a post-Covid world. One simply has to wear some form of common projects/stan-smiths/trabs.

Work in a very casual office, a lot of t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers combos going around. I usually wear jeans or chinos depending on the work that day (I work in a R&D lab so it can get messy), a more casual dress shirt, and some derbies/boots (these get changed out during the day since I need to wear steel caps).

I'll throw on a sweater or cardigan if it's cold. I've never tried to wear a sport jacket to the office, I feel like I might get some weird looks if I did.

suggestions for a knit tie in navy w/ white polka dots, 7cm and under $120? everything i can find at that price point is about 5-6cm. i know knitted tend to be narrower, so i might just have to settle for 6cm.
