Makes sense, thanks for the update @Journeyman. I think classic menswear is a particularly tough biz in Brisbane, notwithstanding covid! Hope he makes a comeback.

I’m guessing none of those shoes have ever had shoe trees stuffed inside of them?
I recall a few years ago (when i moved) i rid myself of two mounds of shoes, in better condition than those, and that is what the bin is for.

but were the shoes you were throwing out, Saint Crispins, Edward Green, Lobbs etc.?

A pair of C&J for a now ceased retailer; a Cleverley (coincidentally, the Thomas) and 2 EG (Buxton & Westminster) with bundles of G.Armani; Prada; Rudolph Menudier and Underecover etc...

Can you tell me where your closest thrift shop is? Might look on the shelf to see if there's any Cleverley or EG.........

Mossman St Vinnies has served a teacher friend very well in terms of clothing, shoes by name brands over the years.

Should also add that St Vinnies at Charing Cross is great for shirts Turnbull & Asser, H&K H&H CT MJBale PRL all there when I’ve visited the store. Of course nothing in my size:brick:

Any Journalists (still) here? I’ve found that quality of he paper in the Moleskine has improved to the point where their is no bleed through when using a fountain pen.

I need a new one soon and looking at Rhodia any thoughts on the paper quality?
