My barber in Civic has closed his doors.:brick::censored: I’ve been seeing him for about six years or more. Any one in Canberra able to recommend a decent barber on the North Side?

For a basic hair cut ($35), I have been going to Hair by Charles (downstairs near Ken Cook). My friend (with more advanced needs) recommends The Ugly Barber in Braddon (in the Avenue Hotel building).

Thankfully he’s reopened on the legal side of London Circuit.

Hi all, following on from my previous post I am wondering if there would be much interest in opening my showroom for an afternoon/evening? I have hundreds of SS21 samples from Corneliani, Paul & Shark, Gran Sasso + much more, previous season samples, stock etc. We are near Chadstone.

Let me know if anyone is interested and I will pull my finger out and get things ready.

That would be awesome and I'd be very keen, but I'm unfortunately in Perth. Will have to wait until you upload them onto the webstore!

So received an update from Kieran on his work on my Carmina's. They arrived at his place yesterday afternoon and he was able to put toe plates and mail them back to me this afternoon. Very quick turnaround time so very impressed by that. From the pictures they look fantastic. I will update further once I have them in hand. I highly recommend him to anyone else, especially fellow interstaters that need work done not possible in own city. He's cheaper than other cobblers I asked and his communication is second to none.

Spier & Mackay sport jacket in Cerruti fabric, Neapolitan cut. Denim shirt from Anglo Italian. Probably going to take up the jackets sleeves just a tad... easy to do with non functional buttons.

^That looks very nice. As you say, I think that the sleeves could come up just a touch.
Yeah... I like it a lot. Reminds me of the old Osaka block, which was modelled after Ring Jacket. Love the extended shoulder line, chest drape, and wider lapels.

Worried that the my guy will take up the sleeves too much, so I’ll have to be careful. It’s perhaps just half to one cm too long. That’s it. Incidentally, if sleeves have been overly shortened, can they be slightly taken out again?

They should be able to be taken out again, assuming the tailor has left sufficient cloth.

As @theowbert said.

If you're unsure of whether the shorter sleeve length will work, explicitly request that your alterationist leaves plenty of cloth inside. Otherwise they can choose to cut it off, not knowing of your wish, and you don't really have a leg to stand on if you decide you want it lengthened again.

Also, If it's 0.5 to 1cm too long, you may find that some alterationists will say not to bother shortening it.
The difference is usually rather imperceptible at that point, especially 0.5cm.

Happily, my guy can do it; that’s a big relief!
