So you basically went to a tailor with an established "house style", fully aware they had this house style, and then got pissed when they made you something in their house style?

And then did it a further 2 times?

Sorry mate, but something does not compute.

Was reading in the Guardian that there are proposed changes to book importation/selling agreements that might make Australian publishing less plentiful (which would be terrible, there are so many great Australian books right now) - any clue about this?

There's a lot of uninformed rhetoric about books and publishing that only clouds the matter. Most authors don't have a fucking clue about business. That said the publishing world is opaque and confusing.

I wouldn't be too fussed about paying a 10% GST on top of online apparel purchases from overseas.

However, if compliance minutiae force delays of days/weeks and local clearing-house firms start charging extra fees - as seems likely - then this budget measure suddenly starts looking like yet another logic-free political grandstand.

In which case, shame on youse, Sco-Mo and T-Bull.

Gents, what is your thoughts on olive suits ? I have really liked this suit supply green check suit and thought about it for over six months. And finally pulled the trigger (possibly not so popular and didn't sell out in all these times). Apparently blue shirt is a must for olive suits. There aren't many great images on the net for olive suits. Any words of wisdom on how to wear this suit .

That looks like a very versatile suit. Wear it with anything you like.

Olive is quite versatile in terms of matching shirts. Lemon, any soft shade of blue, white and pink. In terms of ties maroon, burgundy dark blue.

In Braddon this morning and the amount of "young men" wearing trousers which are short in the leg is absurd.

PS i should add that there were men my age and even as old as fxh walking around with matchbox toed Aladdin Sane shoes. The end of the world is nigh.

Including wetsuit-like leg tapers and shirts so tight the buttons aggressively splay open

Or bright tan shoes with charcoal suits

I have a mate who does this. Feel free to have a chat with him. I'll link you guys up. PM me your email? He's sydney based but he did say he had clients in all major cities. I've asked him to make me a signet ring. Purely for shits and giggles.

Yeah, but this makes sense if he were asking for a different gorge angle, or shoulder shape, or the way the darting is done. This is a simple request for the leg opening to be wider. It's not a fundamental change to a house style.

You've also assumed that he didn't request specifically for the calves to be looser. I've asked PJ for the same thing be done and the following orders have gone without a hitch.

Something surely doesn't compute - but probably not what you think.

Shades of blue (including denim/chambray), grey, white, even pink. Olive suits are great. It's always so understated yet distinctive.

Although olive suits are not so great with grey hair, which I don't think is a problem for md.
