This will probably differ depending on the project, but I was told machine made MTM is generally $1500, half handmade bespoke $2450 and full bespoke w/ baste fitting $2650 for a 2P.
Thanks! That’s pretty reasonable, all things considered! Only heard good things about Grant.

Hey all, I’d really like to clear these out of the closet and hope someone can use them. It’s a good mix of Cavour and Spier and Mackay. The Cavour is a Mod 1 size 48EUR. The SMs are all size 38 short. Each has had the sleeves shortened to about 59cm but this is easy to readjust as the buttons are not working buttons.

Selling each for $130 (postage included anywhere in Australia). If you’re a Sydney sider and can make it to Macquarie Centre on Tuesdays, I’m willing to go $100 each! If you buy in bulk. I’ll sell all five for $450! How’s that for a deal???

1) SM sport coat. Navy and blue gun club. 38S Contemporary. Fabric: Drago.

Do you mind if I ask how it went wrong? Is it a fit issue or something else?

Yeah, fit issue. The trousers slant into my shins like a "/". More pronounced than it does in RTW. All custom trousers I've had made mtm or bespoke either don't have that issue or only slightly.

The fitting was looking really good, they hung dead straight to the floor and I liked the silhouette, but I'm not sure what happened between fitting and delivery - the slant issue, waist too big, leg too slim everywhere, alterations were able to fix everything but the slant.

Consistency is the biggest issue with MTM / Bespoke… I always look forward to the finished product with some trepidation.

Yeah I've had things not turn out with every maker. The Finery Company has been the best as far as fixing things that don't turn out.

Speaking of which here's my jacket fitting - not the actual fabric, I requested a Lower buttoning point for the second fitting

Anyone from Perth here? Heading there for a week soon and wanted some recommendations for good shops/food etc. Never been before.

Cheers!

I am quite interested in the SM hopsack, don't been know much about the SM fitting as I have never worn one, how would you describe the difference in fit between the slim and contemporary?

Contemporary is a more relaxed fit, while not a sack suit. Nice shaping through the waist etc but not so tight all over. That would be most og Slim is exactly that. Good if you’re… well… slim!

SM in general is very South Italy in styling. Soft shoulders, narrow waist, wide lapels. 3 roll 2 button stance.

This is the contemporary:

I have a rather slim waist compared to my chest, I tend to fit pretty comfortably in the MJ Bale drop 8.

So in that case if you still have the slim
Mocklino Hopsack, I would be happy to buy that off you.
