Where to buy quality dress trouser in Melbourne CBD?
After dark gray; gray flannel pants.
Just purchased a pair of Carmina suede chukkas. Can anyone recommend a place to buy suede nano protector and a suede brush in Sydney CBD?
The SOI is still negative but trending up the last few months (no guarantee that will continue though). I'm not sure of the exact correlation, but I thought el ninos usually meant colder winters - or at least lower low temps - as there is less moisture to trap heat in the air.
If anyone needs tips on what the $A is going to do or who will be prime minister in 5 years, my crack forecasting team is currently working on some predictions there as well.
Well I disagree on the sack of potatoes part - the silhouette is unique because it doesn't drape a whole lot, and it garners a hell of a lot of compliments for something so simple in essence.
It is not at all breathable though, and not suited for days about 16C really, in my opinion, or for doing lots of walking in as I heat up very quickly in it. Unless it's raining a lot I won't do the front up.
But yeah, an all time classic IMO.
Howard Yount is still the best option.
I actually like the contrast between the formality of my suit, and the M65. I haven't gotten a Barbour yet, but my uniqlo M65 from 2005 is still serving me so well.
But that's the limit of how much contrast I would put into my outfit. No unbuckled double monks/unused gloves in my jacket's breast pocket/etc to conflate the outfit.
Double Monk in Melbourne carries the Saphir range of suede care products; presumably their Sydney store does as well.

I laughed out loud at this comment!
This is like deja vu all over again:
I'm afraid that you must have confused me with someone else because (for once!) I didn't make any comment about wearing an M65, Barbour or oilskin with tailored clothing.
I gather you are looking for off the rack.
Depending on your budget and how fashion forward or conservative you want to go
Hugo Boss/ Polo Ralph
Harrolds / Armani
Henry Bucks/ Brooks Brother / MJ Bale
UnamedPlayer could also check out American Tailors if they're still open.
Managed to snag some Hiltl cord at the op shop recently, have to take the waist in though a size up from some grey slacks I'd bought from Henry Bucks a while back.
I agree with lachyzee on the overcoat debate I'm a fan of macs and single-breasted coats I feel like they're the best modern alternative to heavier outerwear. I do like the m65 look sometimes though.
Speaking of desert boots anyone ever own one of those Trickers "Playboy" style chukkas or anyother chukka with similar styling (crepe sole, no heel)?
Not a fan of flannel.
In Sydney you're lucky if it's cool enough to wear long pants.
Since when did you have a licence to wear long pants?
Brooks Brothers for grey trousers.
People overestimate the warmth of flannel
I have a pair of 11oz flannel trousers I can comfortably wear up to 25C (and I run hot)
