I’ve got a vintage porcelain flower I’d only wear to weddings. It’s a subtle touch and certainly doesn’t outdo the groom.

So the little flower I have was from a Sydney SF gent--I forget his name, but he ran a little clothing accessories shop (I think they also sold polos, or maybe popovers?). This was back in the glory days of 2010-2012 IIRC...

Sounds like Romp (I think) and "Owen & James", which sold popover and normal oxford-cloth shirts and a couple of other things, for a fairly brief period.

Then he went into business with Patrick Johnson and they diversified with the Chinese-made "Suit Shop" line.

Ouch...I haven’t had them pressed for like the last three months and have been wearing heaps. I adhere to the rule of only having linen suits pressed when y begin the summer and letting them crease
Were the sleeves previously used for origami?

No...but I had the collar shape cut in the shape of the Mercer button down collar and unlined. It’s made by luxire. So similar collar shape but not a button down. All my shirts have this collar...it’s so good
That shirt is fantastic. Is it a button down?

Is anyone going to the Christian Kimber drinks event this evening?

On a related note, I really want these:

They are both far more expensive than I even thought I’d spend on sneakers and still less expensive than most designer sneakers...

Switch to a deodorant that doesn’t use aluminium. Sure it won’t stop you sweating as much as an anti-perspirant, but you won’t get yellow stains on your white shirts and you won’t bleach the underarms of your coloured shirts white.

I like those from Anthony: Logistics for Men, L’Occitane, Taylor of Old Bond St (but not the Jermyn St, it doesn’t work) and Geo F Trumper.

For cheaper options you can buy at chemists and supermarkets, alum salt crystal deodorants also seem to work well but generally don’t have any scent. If you prefer a roll-on then Moo Goo.

No Pong is also quite good, although a different approach as it’s a little tin of a gritty paste. Works well and smells nice though. Good for travel.

I have found that deodorants with a coconut oil base (No Pong included) also stain the armpits of shirts over time. I haven't really been able to beat the eventual yellow underarm stains, but I've been able to remove them with a dishwashing liquid, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda mix.

Just soak in Napisan.

Haven’t used No Pong enough to notice if I get get stains, however I never have with Logistics for Men, and I’ve been using that for years now.

Napisan is an oxygen bleach, I tried that first on some off white tshirts, and cream socks and it bleached them white. I've found the hydrogen peroxide/dishwashing liquid mix to actually not bleach my off white colored tshirts. It has however bleached some (but not all) dyed items of clothing.

How much are you using?! In decades of use I’ve only once bleached something, but that was using an old jar of a different brand, and perhaps also down to whatever dyes Zara used in their chinos.

How much Napisan or Hydrogen Peroxide? I think I followed the instructions on the Napisan when I did it (x amount per litres of water)

With the Hydrogen Peroxide, I don't use much, maybe a teaspoon or slightly more, mixed in with the other ingredients to form a paste.

however I never have with Logistics for Men, and I’ve been using that for years now.

Might have to look into that one.
