    @crdb thanks for that incredible summary! Most informative.

    I don't know much about perfume, but I guess that all makes scents

    @crdb

    Excellent piece. My recos:

    Amouage - Memoir Man
    MFK- Oud, Cologne Pour Le Soir, Aqua Universalis Forte
    Memo- Shams Oud, Italian Leather
    Diptyque- Phylosykos EDP

    Or you could just rock Aventus with the masses.

    @crdb, that was great, thank you.

    I am working my way through Abdessalaam Attar's line and so far I've been underwhelmed. A lot of them have a dusty, dulled down quality as well as a common note or ingredient that I can't put my finger on and doesn't sit well with me. They're very rich fragrances.

    I would still recommend ordering some samples if you can. As someone getting into the hobby I found the exposure to unusual scents interesting, even if I wouldn't wear them. Presentation of the samples is top notch (and generous for the price)

    Interesting, thanks for the summary. "Dull" note - because no aldehydes? What's the dry down like on skin? I would have expected the base notes to be more powerful and projecting than usual given the raw materials used and the concentration.

    I've been delaying my own purchases there as I'm working through things a third as expensive per sample - and that's assuming one goes through a sampling site, not profumo.it directly - and this makes me even less likely to give it a shot soon.

    I do love the idea of an artisan just going out and doing what he wants to without a care in the world for the way the industry normally works.

    Gents,
    I thought I would post this here first before heading to eBay etc. I'm looking to sell my slightly worn Enzo Bonafe seamless black oxfords. This pair is one of the classiest interpretations of the black oxford I have seen going around IMO. Unfortunately they are half a size too big for me. Details as follows; 9.5 uk, 74945 last, condition as per pictures- probably 3 wears. There are some stock skoak photos below to give an understanding of how the shoes actually look, apologies for the poor quality cell photos. Selling new for about $720, happy to offload them for $500, shipping extra.

    Wouldn't think it would be hard, but might be tricky matching the exact colour - especially if for worsted wool.

    Maybe time to rock a pair of suspenders!
