Advice sought for care of Japanes denim? Like how often to wash? Or is there a thread for this?

Generally I think the less you wash jeans, the better. Obviously if they are visibly dirty or starting to smell, they need a wash.

I have a pair of Kapital jeans in raw denim which I bought at least three years ago and have only washed twice. (Yep.) They were a very dark blue at the start but have faded a little. I actually really liked the look of them when new. The denim felt quite stiff, and draped differently to pre-washed jeans. I liked that. YMMV of course.

Waiting on a parcel from Ownly.shop. The USPS tracking service shows that it arrived at JFK International Airport (for shipment to Australia presumably) at 1:34pm on 10 June (i.e. 3:34am Monday 11th, AEST). I'm guessing that it might already have arrived in Australia by now, as that was more than 24 hours ago.

Question: once the shipment leaves the USA, will USPS tracking still work?

Entering that same tracking number in the Aust Post tracking site just gives similar info.

Question: once the shipment enters the Australian postal system, will the Aust Post tracking site show updated information about its progress through to its destination here in Melbourne?

I had this issue a couple of weeks ago. I saw it arrive in Sydney then arrive in Canberra where it sat in limbo for seven days. Then it was out for delivery the USPS displayed that information. It took another two days to arrive.

Here’s the tracking for an item that was delivered last Friday (EMS). Once the parcel arrives in the country, it’s to be processed by Aust Post and depending on ur location (mine was N Sydney) there can be significant holdups.

I called auspost about a similar issue. They said usps tracking is predictive, based on the item's itinerary not a scan.

As soon as the item arrives in aus and gets scanned it should appear on the auspost tracking site using the same number. I didn't really believe them but then it ended up showing up on the auspost site a few days later and being delivered in the normal timeframe from there (2 days).

Why don't you go and tell them what they're doing wrong?

I question whether I belong to the same species as this.

I question where he ended up carrying his potatoes after he tore the sack apart to mock up his faux-waistcoat.

Unfortunately the interesting part of Pitti, the new lines, deals, trends for the coming season etc get sidelined by the douche parade out front of the main event.
