Well, that was my sentiment as well, so I asked and was told that there exists a demand for such a shoe and they have to cater for it. Apparently 70-80% of the StC are sold as wedding shoes and usually not worn very much after that.

Hmm, that doesn't sound very good at all, but thanks for sharing.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum.
Does anyone have any experience with The Bespoke Corner in Sydney for MTM suits? I'm caught in two minds as to whether I should try any of the MTM suit offerings in Sydney and curious to know if anyone has had a good experience. I've seen a couple of results and the fits have left me underwhelmed... certainly not better than a good tailor adjusting a decent fitting RTW suit.

StC are stunners but not built to stay that way from what I’ve seen on various blogs.

I think EG dark oak is a beautiful shade, but certainly could be darker with some cream if one were so inclined. In general, brown shoes have a lot more depth of colour after polishing.

I also find that using a really good, deep brown edge dressing on the soles and heels helps a brown shoe look darker and more formal overall. Mine is from Brift H in Tokyo, but I am sure that DM can sort you with something...

I've got a pair of EG in dark oak and it is a lovely colour. The colour lightened a bit after some wear but, as TFP says, it can easily be darkened by the application of some cream and then polish.

StC charges around $2000 for their shoes and takes 4 months to be delivered, if the groom got money to burn, they would just pick up a pair of Lobbs on the spot and be done with it.

Weddings are for the brides only...

The whole wedding industry, and the idea of having an Instagrammable wedding, seems to have reached ridiculous heights.

Much better to have the wedding as cheaply as possible and to save money for a) the honeymoon and b) a decent deposit on a property. One of my colleagues got married recently and they spent $8000 just on the wedding photography/video. I hate to think what the total cost of the day - one single day - added up to.

Anyone have any recommendations for boxers for sleeping? I had some Berg and Berg one's, but they've worn out.

I loved my wedding, but other than the location; my bestman, groomsmen's and mine outfit, I left the rest of the decisions and planning to my wife and our wedding planner.

End of the day, the wedding meant a lot more to her than me, so she deserves the spotlight. Similar experiences within my group of friends.

    Friend swears by them.

Ps after despairing the fact that DJ’s and Myers have given Hedi Klum jocks the boot. I found an Australian distributor who is selling off Periwinkle Blue Hi Tech Cotton jocks for $20 a pair.

Any ideas on who makes suits for women in Melbourne?
