I had a very good friend of mine get married over the weekend. The suit was P Johnson MTM. A tuxedo, actually. While the jacket's fit and cut were fine, I found the legs on the trousers too narrow and disproportionate to the arms and the chest of the jacket. A bit disappointed.

We really missed a trick with this new thread. Big time.

'Guys - what's up with the Shoes here?' is one of the great opening lines. Right up there with the first lines of Seinfeld - 'See, now to me, that button is in the worst possible spot.'

Regarding the cardigan with collared shirt and no tie, my shirts are cutaway or semi- cutaway. I think it might look dorky with the collar flapping out, aka Bing Crosby playing golf (although I do love his singing).

solid haul CD. T&A ties are rare as hens teeth here in Sydney. I have more luck with Hermes ties..

Guys - what's up with the Shoes here?

Some of the Fugliest shoes I have ever seen. Everything is pointed and 'Gondola' shaped.
I even walked past a guy in the Melbourne CBD yesterday in a white pair, with a black suit.
    Some scarey shit.

And don't get me started on them hobo beards - is there a razor blade shortage hereor something?

Sadly, shoes in Australia are hideously designed and shockingly overpriced. Most men think that Aquila is the height of fashion and that shoes with twin seams running to a peculiarly shaped toe are elegant and desirable. Yes, I've seen quite a few fellows wearing white shoes with suits. I thought that went out with the 1980s, along with gold chains and wide collared, open-necked shirts but it appears that they are making a comeback...

I still remember years ago when buying my suit for my Year 12 formal, and my mates laughing at me for not buying Aquilla, which were 'the best in the world', and for going for Meermin instead.
