Turn up your BBQ as high as it goes and hold it over the flames. You want it so that the pants are almost touching grill. Sounds crazy, but it works for me every time.

Style forum lore calls for a pre-soak solution of vinegar and hot water. I do the routine every 3 months or so.

Sizing a bit tricky. I am between UK 7.5 and UK 8, and my correct size is 7 for this shoe. At size 7, the length allowance for the toes in the toe box is only a few mm. Width is normal, instep slightly high.

Are you better versed in old or New Testament father FXH?

    Mmmm. That does sound tricky.

Might be too much of a foxy for me.

I prefer foxing on my collars, not foxy with my shoes

I'm more of an Old Testament, smite thy enemies, fire and brimstone kind of guy myself. Fxh OTOH is more touchy feely, long hair, turn the other cheek, water into wine etc.

Cologne enthusiasts might be interested to know that Swiss niche perfumer Andy Tauer has got over his loathing of Australian regulations and is now willing to ship to Australia. Tauer is the creator of a few notable scents, notably the classic L'Air du Desert Marocain. I have his Lonestar Memories, which is also very good.

His latest is Lonesome Rider, a leather fragrance which is starting to create a bit of a stir. Andy is offering samples of this in a "name your own price" offer. Shipping anywhere is $US4, plus what you decide to pay for the samples. I've ordered mine, as have a lot of the regulars in the scent of the day thread. Worth a look.

If you get a chance to pop over to Sydney, Kazuna can MTM the near exact same style of shoe for you.

    thanks for the heads up.

what's a fair price here for 5 samples?

just use the per ml rate from the 50ml preorder less $4?

"he was gonna chuck a bottle he was gonna chuck a can, chuck a can, chukka chukka..."

Alright ordered some kimber, chocolate chukkas, hard to pass up at that price.

There's also one size 36 eidos field jacket left if that's your size, get on it.

+1 to anyone that recognizes the lyrics up top.

Probably a bit politically incorrect nowadays as it could be construed as making fun of someone with a speech impediment, but that's from the classic "Stutter Rap" by Morris Minor and the Majors.

Well no-one's ever seen what I mean
    from the age of n-n-n-n-n-n-thirteen.
we've all been caught in a m-m-mouth trap
so join with us and do the st-st-st-st-st-st-st-stutter rap...
