1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Waddya mean over? Australia travelling quite well in India.

I've had some good suggestions on sneakers here over the years. The navy Superga canvas low-cuts are working out well. I also have a pair of Epaulet leather sneakers with a rubberised sole, but I'm not that happy with the look of them. The best I've bought were Common Projects grey sued lows, and I Was pretty unhappy when I got a rip in them.

i did buy some red Converse canvas sneakers once. Bastard things ran red dye over my jeans and chinos. Op shopped.

One thing I have learned is that sizing is tricky. The sneakers I buy always seem to end up tight on me for some reason.

It's on another continent and while there is still some heat around the world has turned, winter is coming.

Looking at upping my tea game. Been drinking T2 Indian spice for a while now, any recommendations or niche shops I should be looking at?

I don't drink coffee and only take Chinese tea and Japanese green tea.

Work is around the corner from Chefs Armoury and I pick green tea from there. They even have matcha if you are keen to go traditional. I often get distracted by the knifes and sake when I go in.

Anyone have any recommendations for tailors for getting Jeans tapered in Sydney? I am aware of Mikhail Zenon, however I just have a pair of non-selvedge stretch Neuw indigo raw jeans, which i'd like taken down to a ~15cm leg opening. Don't need anything too fancy, just some simple below knee tapering done by someone who won't completely ruin it, and won't charge too much (Mikhail does $100 for tapering + chain stitch hem).

So glad the Sydney summer is over - this yr nearly broke me.

Got my sister to pick up two Kamakura knit shirts for me on a recent trip to Japan.

Unfortunately, they are a tad small (marked 14-14.5 collar, 36-37 chest) so if anyone is interested, I'm willing to let them go at cost and i'll include postage (which is cheaper than can be had from the US store).

PM if interested. Sorry for the sales pitch.

Tea Connoisseur, in High Street Armadale. Serious list of specialty teas which you can both drink on the premises and buy. I'm currently enjoying some first flush Darjeeling from there.

Thanks for the recommendations on Rekaris.

I don't suppose anyone knows whether he does toe plates, perchance?
