    jmills,
just about any watch bracelet will stretch over time due to wear and tear, caused by a number of factors I.e. perspiration, being heated and cooled from being worn, knocked around, the Spring bars suffering from stress due to this.. even if you simply push papers around, it might slow down the inevitable.

there is a gentleman in HK who is renowned in the watch community who restores Rolex bracelets exceptionally well. his name is Michael Young. see here:
    http://www.classicwatchrepair.com/page5.html
if bracelet stretch is simply your worth (PS I don't own a sub or sub c) then getting the sub you like and getting the bracelet repaired can now be the viable option.

    Dear Aussie Forum,

I am a 25 yo white Anglo male who lives in Summer Hill.

    Should I get a Fiat 500?

    Discuss.

Buy a scooter instead. Get more suits. People may still think you are Lapo.

Is Summer Hill a high crime area? Will you suffer because of insurance premiums? Will the car be stolen to be used in a ram raid? Could you be car jacked on the way to work?

    Whats wrong with public transport?

Bottom line do chicks dig these cars?

Assuming you're still trying to save for a house, I'd consider a Japanese made car where parts are generally cheaper and the car easy to maintain. Buy one a couple of years old too. Buying new doesn't make much sense outside of special circumstances such as new models, pre ordering(Tesla, Mustangs etc).

Also learn to service it too, as well as basic maintainence.

Glad to see a fresh new iteration of the Australian Members thread!

Did anyone catch Sunrise this morning? Eric Idle was sporting a green Isaia jacket.

"The apparel oft proclaims the man" - Polonius in Hamlet. This is quite an interesting and entertaining listen which one could share with the SO or Mrs http://www.cbc.ca/radio/ideas/nothing-to-wear-1.3438647

They may even pick up some insights into the arcane mystery of menswear in the process.

Girl didn't show up but pretty stoked with my new linen knit and chukkas. The jumper is really comfortable.

Walked into the Rolex store on Castlereagh Street at lunch and they told me there was a year long wait for a SS Submariner... Any other suggestions?

If you're really set on that style of watch, then you could either consider a Tudor Pelagos or, for a more vintage look, a Tudor Black Bay Noir.

Otherwise, if you really want a Submariner, look for a very lightly used Sub in good condition.

Here are a few that are available now, from a watch store that has branches in both Brisbane and Sydney:

Edited to add: They've got some other Submariners, some Sea Dwellers, and a GMT with a black bezel, too:

Exactly, don't buy new. If the Mustang GT didn't have a wait list of over two years, I would have never bought new, but it was my only option. Buying used is a much better idea, two to three years old and 2/3d's of the cost. Also don't buy an A1/ VW unless you like expensive repair bills. As Fox said, look for something Japanese made.

In regards to Vintage Watch Co, they're a good bunch to deal with. Apparently a lot of their stock comes from Bris/ Gc from older people. Make what you will o that.
