1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I bought my old man some asics kayanos. my dad tells me that's best for his feet as it absorbs the pressure on the ankle, considering he's got osteoarthritis. and I love the fact he rocks them with dad jeans. the best.

    Those Reeboks are dope, 'dex.

I used to have four pairs of high end sneakers, 3 CP's and a pair of MMM GATs. I sold them all. I actually told @Gerry Nelson and @Pink Socks this story a few weeks ago.

It was a warm summers night on Christmas, and my niece asked me to play Football with her. I was wearing linen trousers, a navy polo, and white CPs. The last thing I wanted to do was kick and old dirty piece of rubber around in my CPs, and it dawned on me that I was as consious as protecting them as I was any other pair of leather dress shoes. For me, sneakers are about throwing them on, beating them around, they're not dress shoes, so I don't see the point of spending the money on high end pairs any more.

Fox, you do make a good point.

On the other hand, given that it was a warm summer's night, you could always just have taken off your shoes and kicked the footy around barefoot!

Kayanos are a running/athletic shoe, they're not a 'sneaker' in the same sense as a pair of chucks, vans, CPs etc.

Dad jeans and sneakers are cool these days aren't they?
    Ta.

Totally agree with you regarding sneakers. You should take care of them but not to the point where you can't kick a ball lol

Laptop bags (non-Filson) that look OK, do they exist in the known universe?

I don't mind the look of the l.l.bean signature leather messenger. Whether you do is another thing.

Does "black shoes" still include wingtip brogues, perforated captoes etc or is it strictly black cap oxfords?

Saddleback. If you email them they'll reduce shipping.

Whether I do or don't, thanks for the suggestion.

An obscure Milano maker called Serapian. But wait for sales price, not retail.
