I haven't had anything made at OH in over a year but was always very happy with what they did.

Any particular reason you stopped? You used to be OH Fanboi #1 around here!

    I bought all I need.

I generally get around in raw denim, Uniqlo tshirts, black boots or sneakers, and leather jackets.

I've been told I'm a lot more like Danny Zuko.

Hullo gents. Dipping my toes back into #menswear now that my kids are no longer taking up 98% of my time (...it's down to a comfortable 87% :p).

I have some silk knits left over from the High Tied days for sale -- see sig.

What's everyone wearing for weekend wet weather shoes this winter? I'm torn between a work boot (Chippewa or something) and a dressier option. I don't wear jeans at the moment (just chinos) so wondering whether the work boots would work for me.

Does anyone know much about Germanicos, or had any experience with them.

Andrew's stuff (when I visited his workshop in the Strand) was all that industrial "just left the foundry" look.

no but I don't think they are bespoke like claimed. They wouldn't be the first to make that claim though.

As Foxy mentioned OH offer a great service. I'm in the process of having a suit made by them for my upcoming wedding and have been impressed with both their service and the quality of their offering. The trial fit went well with only a few nips and tucks required. I'll be collecting the suit next weekend.

I've also used P. Johnson in the past and the product is comparable, but I found something to be lacking with the service when compared to OH. Something quite intangible as I can't elaborate on it - just a feeling if you will.

Either way, you should get a great outcome.

Yeah I'm having my doubts as well to their bespoke claim because I saw the suits they fitted on people via instagram and sometimes it's a bit out of proportion. I don't know if it was a customer request, or if they didn't have the skills.

Because their price fitted my budget, and I'm looking for someone that's sorta able to take in my requests, making me lenient towards them.

I'm not too sure about MTM though, I'm worried if their pattern doesn't suit me :S

I've personally never heard of Germanico, and looking at their pricing, they aren't exactly cheap. I'd be more inclined to go to one of the 4 I suggested given that they've already earnt a reputation.
