Austerity brogues for under $500

Next year I'll probably get another pair of shoes. If it's not a bal boot (first choice), I'm thinking a pair of austerity brogues in brown of some kind. The style is growing on me.

What would the "good" (by SF definition, i.e., C&J benchgrade quality or higher), choices be, in your view? $500 is a ballpark figure. If I could get it for less, I'd be delighted.

If I can settle on something now, I can watch for sales and score something (hopefully).

God, I'm getting excited about shoes I *might* buy next year. How low have I fallen....don'tanswerthat.

Eh, that threak is pretty old though. If you could bump up the budget to $700 you could get some Vashj. But that is a slippery slope.
