With what I am about to say, is not to offend nor to generalize eBay sellers who carry Kiton and Attolini, but just to inform buyers that many products from these names can possibly be imitations.
Buyers, just like Gucci, Prada, LV and other remarkable fashion names, are illegally produced from third parties and try to imitate at their best products that could be a potential sale and labeled with the names mentioned (some are so well produced and alike, that you wont even be able to tell the difference). It has become the same for famous Neapolitan names, so do watch what you're buying.
Kiton and Attolini makes only 10,000 pieces (suits and sport coats) per year, due to their meticulous workmanship they are unable to produce mass quantities. Many of their garments are seriously hand tailored, from the cut, many stitching processes and the final ironing phase.
So do keep your eyes open to all those thousands of listings on eBay (especially and some e-stores as well), not that sellers are really aware of this. They just purchase their small lots through jobbers located in the outskirts of Naples, Italy.
These jobbers purchase their Kiton and Attolini suits from small illegal manufacturers which produce all these counterfeit brands and are specifically sold to American and Japanese buyers.
You can ask if the suit you are about to buy, comes from a boutique or from the manufacturer. If it does come from a boutique, which one? Remember that large department stores have now their outlets, where they send most of the past season's products for clearance sale (still quite expensive).
Good luck!
