Okay here´s the story,

Some guy is offering me a NWT Attolini Coat (similar like worn by one our members, Hoff I believe, and similar to those sold by STF some months ago), for $1K, including shipping to Europe. I told him I would be interested provided we could work out some kind of safe and secure payment (preferably via credit card, allowing me to reverse the charge if he would not come through).

Now he informed me he wants to ship via some local (San Diego) shipping company that has as email address ending with .ro (I am able to find it using a link he send but the site of said company seems not accessable via google) and in order to have it shipped I have to transfer the money via this shipping agent via Western Union Money Transfer (alarm bells are ringing now).

Does this sound fishy to you, would you proceed?

This is far too likely to be a scam. Stay far, far away.

Local shipping company? It's a coat, not a an armoire. USPS and Airmail to Europe is reliable and cheap. There is no good reason for them to be using anything but.

99% likely to be fraud. A legitimate business would never insist on Western Union. That's what fraudsters do because there's no buyer recourse.
