Well, I'm not sure if this thread will burn up the Internet, but here is a pair of oxfords I just received from Attila Shoes Budapest. Spoiler: A few more photos This pair is made up in calf on their German last with a double sole. I didn't specify any details beyond those and the color (which I picked from a small selection they show on their website). So what you see is how they make up their shoes given general specs. Experience ordering was really very good. The store manager, Gabriella, was very easy to work with via email. Her English is excellent and her replies were timely. I paid with PayPal, in advance. Mailed tracings and measurements of my feet to Attila for sizing. These were paid at their custom pricing, although I don't know how much the shoemaker adjusted the last for my feet as opposed to simply using the tracings and measurements to pick the best standard size. The shoes are unmarked as far as I can tell, so I can say what they finally fit me in. I will have to ask. It was about six weeks from invoice to delivery. Shipping was a little expensive, but my guess is that they don't ship internationally very much. I'll wear this pair around to judge the fit and to see how well I like them overall. At the moment, I could certainly see ordering from Attila again.
