So in April when my mother comes and visits (she's a big gambler) I think we are going to go to AC for like two nights.
What are the hotels/casinos there?
Best way to get there from NYC? Rent a car and drive or take the train?

borgata is the nicest imo, but it's a bit away from everything else.

I have heard the newest hotel that opened up called the Borgata is very nice and is great to stay in. From what I have heard, it is by far the best place to stay in AC.

I have no personal experience with it however.

Borgata is where you want to be staying.

Suprisingly, there is no easy way to get to AC by train, though I can remember hearing that a NYC-AC route coming online sometime this year.

Yah I was looking and the Borgata and Harrah's are a little bit away from the Boardwalk area/Taj Mahal. I'll check with my mother and see. We could probably get free suites at Harrah's since that is where she is all the time in Lake Tahoe.

I'd check out the Tropicana too. They renovated "the quarter" a few years back and its quite nice for AC standards.

I loved the Tropicana when I went a few months back. If I could do it all again I'd probably stay away from the stip all together as it's a rather huge **** hole. Getting a hotel with decent places to eat and gamble is the way to go.

Take a good car service. Long conversations are always nice, and a flight would make no sense.

I'm thinking I may rent a car and drive out there. I have 2 stores within about 30-40 min of AC that I would like to visit as well. Plus as a Californian living in NYC I really miss driving.

Curious to know what stores you are interested in around AC.

Did Thom open up a boutique in deptford, NJ?

Borgata is deffinetly the best place to be staying at least in my mind, it is the closes to Las Vegas that Atlantic City can come. I also stayed at Tropicana's new tower last time I went and it was nice although I had a sweet so I am not sure of how the other rooms are. I am actually going to AC in a few weeks or so. I always drive there so I have no idea about trains but I do see quite a few buses every time that I am there. I think AC got a lot better in the last two years or so with higher end stores and some restaurants I always eat at Budakhan there for me foodwise it kicks New Yorks ass but crown wise not so much but then again AC crowd isn't all that great. Any how I hope you have a great time dude!
