FYI...

Buckhead Filenes Basement has an assortment of items that went on sale today....

  • Borrelli Shirts (14.5 to 18.5) from $149 to $249 (probably about 50 in total, if you are a 17 to 17.5 there are a mother load of awesome shirts)

  • Borrelli Cashmere Sweaters (S to XL) all $299 (about 10 or so)

  • Borrelli Cashmere and Silk Ties at $79 (less than 10 left)

  • Brioni Coats (S to 3XL) from $199 to $1299 (some very sweet coats in this lot)

In addition there are various Armani and Brioni suits, sweaters, and pants.

Did you notice if any of those suits/coats were a 41/42R?

Whatever could you be doing slumming it at Filene's?

I've got to say....of the 10 times I've been this actually was worth a damn. Very few wacky stripe shirts or lime green sweaters.

Does not distract from the fact that most of the stuff lately on the WAYWN thread is sub par.

Just giving you a hard time, because I remembered that line you had a few weeks back.

Filene's is what it is. The few racks of stuff they get from Barneys, Bergdorfs, Borrelli, Marios, Louis Boston, Andrisen Mortion, and some of the other nice stores around the country will occasionally have some really nice stuff. Shopping there requires patience and a good eye for style, not just labels, and it is certainly not a shopping experience that everyone enjoys.
