Early of the evening, down on Canal, at the bar of the d'Ivoire where, somedays football hooligans do comb, I saw a man enter , wearing the full, Thom Brown walking uncomfortable perhaps, because of worry over, a dipping pocket napkin. After 2 mins it was my, destitute observation that, his accomplice (a female, non Thom) decided, the menu was not adequated for, their fashion time. Perhaps too, the high socks of the Rugbys on the large screen, made a rash for his, exposed area down, there. The true answer, never will I know .

Where is the Cote d'Ivoire bar? And you were watching rugby?

Vaclav ,you're definitively a great man...

Thom B is just a fad and like every fad will go away when a new Personal Jesus designer will turn up with a new look inherited from a blast from the past...

Some don't understand the use of the word fad.

Thom browne has not been in the fashion spotlight for 7 years and not in the same way than recently..
He is not a fad but the symbol of a certain fashion movement...

He will stay a fad if he doesn't evolve....

Lasbar, in China town , New York exists a, bar that is of the d'Ivoire , it's name is some thing "Les E.. " but the, patrons there were not so, interested in Rugby mostly wallstreet mixed with, blond dredlocks. .My interest there was, Argentina v Ireland and, also the beer which, was over the temperature I, prefer . Thank you for the, compliment but I do not think, of myself with much, greatness in the greater scene, of things (not thinking, of Thom Brown).

The question is, will Thom Browne have the staying power of a Ralph Lauren or a Georgio Armani?

I think it's an uphill battle, in part because of the unusual designs, and in part because a lot of TB's appeal is the anti-mass market component . . . although I'm not sure how that comports with the Black Fleece stuff.

SoCal, how do the Browne faithful seem to be reacting to the Brooks Brothers line? Is there an embrace of it based on the designs, the old-school cool of BB, or has it been met with a cold reception?
