At the 1961 Geneva Auto Show, the Bertone stand exhibited a lovely GT on the Aston-Martin DB 4GT chassis. It was dubbed the Jet. Although the car was truly designed in Betone's studios most of the elements were from the pen Giorgio Giugiaro. Giugiaro went on to establish his own studio, Ital Design.
Forty-three years later, in 2004, Bertone once again selected an Aston-Martin chassis as the foundation for a concept car. The Vanquish was turned into the Jet-2. The Jet-2 is reminiscent of many Shooting Brake designs done for Aston-Martin, Bentley, and Jaguar. It does have some eerie profile similarities to the Reliant Scimitar Shooting Brake as well.
