http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....IT&rd=1 Does the gorge seem low or not really? And at that price does it sound like ok or a faux pas? (additional info: no real button holes on the sleeves, fully-lined jacket) Many thanks.

I would say that this price is significantly too high, given the risk that the suit is junk. It has been my experience that suits bought off of Ebay from power sellers are significantly older than they are let on to be. Even if it is in excellent condition, I'm guessing this suit is over 20 years old. Therefore, the fabric quality will not be up to modern standards, it may have been overly drycleaned, it will smell old, and the gorge is VERY low. You're better off saving your 200 bucks and putting that to a new suit.

FCS - I'd simply ask the seller a few questions about the condition. An Oxxford for $200 might be a fabulous deal as long as the fabric is in shape. Find out what the seller's return policy is if it is not in excellent condition.
There are some pretty old and very new Oxxford's in my closet without a thing different between them so how worn something is might be a much more important measure than how old.

    Goof luck.
