Hi everyone,

I am in a bind, because for months I have not been able to find a brown oxford that I'm 100% in love with. I tried the Brooks Brothers by Peal oxford with a more chiseled toe, but it was still too round for my liking. I like the Grenson Salisbury, but the laces I prefer to be leather.

I've looked into the C&J Audley and C&J Hallam but wasn't 100% either.

My favorite shoe is the Allen Edmonds Evanston. I like how it looks on my feet with the pants I wear to school, etc. Is there any other AE shoe in that last (0 I believe) that is comparable to that, or can you recommend ANYTHING....that would have that same somewhat squared off toe...

Thanks for the help, if you're in the northeast, stay warm!

Different people have different tastes, I'm sure some people will tell you yours are 'wrong'. But they're going to be your shoes.

Last I knew, Allen Edmonds would custom make pretty much any of their shoe models with any leather on any of their lasts for about $100-$150 more.

If you love that last, that might be a pretty good deal.

Try contacting them directly.

Why not buy the Salisbury and put on some leather laces?
