Did Crocket &Jones actually make the shell cordovan shoes for RL Polo or did they subcontract out to Alden?

Also, are the marked sizes slightly larger than their USA equivalent, a 9.5 would be about a 10-10.5 US.

Anybody with fit experience with vintage C&J for RL Polo cordovan shoes?

Really nooby question: If I'm a 19" shoulder, 40" chest, with long arms and torso, does that mean I have to buy size 42L and get the chest taken in? Or canI still fit into some size 40L sport coats? Most of the ones I see are around an 18.5" shoulder, but the size 42 jackets are usually around 22" in the chest.

    Thanks!

what's the best way to remove gum stains from the side of my leather dress shoes.

I've tryed water and scraping with a brush, but no luck.

Astor & Black or Thick As Thieves???

Great Forum guys... I'm learning alot. So I want a Full Canvas Suit without breaking the bank and wanted to get a consensus from the Style Forum.

Astor & Black sounds a bit hit and miss but the ones that are good... really sound great. And they deal with alot of athletes and I have a more athletic build so that is why they caught my attention.

And from everything I read on here, Thick As Thieves sounds really really good.

So if you had to choose which would it be... Astor & Black or Thick As Thieves?

Unless you have yet another better option.

    Thanks~

Found these shoes on second hand for 35 dollars. Does anyone know anything about the brand? It's made in the USA and the insole says MorganQuinn. A quick google search on that name only yields a few ebay results. Would be interested to hear if someone knows anything.

Btw, should I change the black laces? If so, to what?

Lol, well thanks for the responses everyone, that pic was quite hilarious. No I'm really not exaggerating or being overly observant about my crotch bulging out, I'll have to post a pic sometime. Particularly when I'm wearing shorts, it is a big enough deal for me to be annoyed about it, especially when I'm shopping.

I'll keep you all updated later. This is serious stuff.

Thanks, it's NOT my first suit. But it would be my first MTM suit. And I'm definitely going with a MTM with a Full Canvas. That's why I was asking about A&B or Thick As Thieves. Or whomever else you guys suggest. I'll check out Kent Want too.

Also Suitsupply looks pretty good, NOT sure if they are Full Canvas or not though.

It's easier to iron damp shirts but you don't have to. It helps to have a better iron but all you really need is a spray bottle full of water. Give the shirt a spray then iron.

Unless you have a strange idea of athletic that should answer your question.
