Just because it is popular doesn't mean it is in good taste.

    Hi !

Looking for a wool coat, dark colors, mid thigh (max knee, length). Slim fitting, single breast. Will be wearing it for business casual.

Can anyone direct me to brands that give me quality for my hard earned $$ ? Willing to spend 600, (might stretch budget for rigth object).

    Hey all,
first post here, long time lurker.
I saw a pair of shoes at the store the other day, and they really caught my eye and my feet felt good in them, and for the price, I thought I might give them a try.

    http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/...oryID=29418#fn=sp=1&spc=45&ruleId=5&slotId=39

I've read that square toe shoes are a big no-no, but they aren't on the extreme end of squareness, and I just get the feeling they look good regardless. Is it my young, inexperienced eyes that are deceiving me? What do you Shoe Connoisseurs have to say about them?
(btw, I'm a college student, I would probably be wearing them with jeans)

I've got a picture of a sport shirt here i'm dying to find the brand of. Any chance anyone might recognize the brand or might be willing to help out? It has a light blue/white check pattern, white inner collar, white trim down the button pannel, and bright blue buttons. Anyone have an idea?

Do I have to pay $ 20 or $ 30 for a quality pocket square or are there places online where I can get them for much cheaper?

    Somewhat on topic:

Looking for a great Tailor in Los Angeles.

I have some beautiful Suits and Sport Coats, Kiton, Oxxford Clothes, Attolini, etc. Some new/unaltered, others which need adjustments.

I have tried two Custom Tailors here, but they were just not very good.

    Any recomendations???

Hand-rolled pocket squares can be found at the Rack for $10-$15 a piece. Though selection is limited as expected.

Looking for a tailor in the Brooklyn/NYC area. I have a few pair of paints I'd like to have tapered and am tired of the dry-cleaning/taylor screwing up my pants.

    Hey guys,

I'm going to a black-tie-ish NYE party. Having attended the event before I know that there's going to be a number of people wearing normal dark suits. In recent years I've always worn my black tuxedo and felt appropriately dressed, but this time I forgot to bring it.

The most formal option I have available is a very nice navy two button suit. I guess I want to 'dress it up' but I'm unsure if it's fine to combine it with my normal tuxedo gear (which I have available). Here's all my options:

    Shirt:
    1. Tuxedo shirt with a hidden placket and Kent collar
    2. White business shirt with a semi-spread collar

    Neckwear:
    1. Black bow tie
    2. Black tie with very subtle white stripes
    3. Solid blue tie (with a hue dangerously close to the color of my suit :/)

Can you guys please help me pick the most appropriate/formal combination :)

    Thanks :D

Those are pretty bad for several reasons, not just the square toe.

I have a tie bought from Harrods about 15 years ago. It's great.
