How should a stainless steel watch match with my trouser belt or shoes?
You should wear stainless steel trousers to match your stainless steel watch. (But, seriously, if the watch strap is steel and not leather then it will go with anything. You may want your belt buckle to be steel or silver rather than bronze or gold. If the strap is leather than ideally it should be similar in colour to the shoes/belt, but really it doesn't matter too much.)

following from previous post,

How big a deal is mixing metals? I'm not saying silver tie bar and gold cufflinks, rather a chrome/steel buckle on jacket or shoes with a bronze belt buckle...

It won't kill ya, but I would avoid it.

What does unstructured mean for blazers? Uncanvased? Should it be avoided, or is it good for summer weight clothing?

yeah... I wear mostly brown/khaki/earthtones and to my mind steel and chrome looks bizarre with that palette, so all my belt buckles are bronze or copper. but a sweater I'm particularly fond of (that is brown) has an incongruously dark steel buckle on the throat...

I'm not sure what you mean by low key cufflinks? I work for a multinational which is specialized in technology solutions. However at my department there are many engineers who dress quite casual as in jeans, sweaters, casual shirts etc. I am kind of 'overdressed' with my dress shirts for a colleague who has his internship. Only managers wear suits. What is an SC?

Try Brooks Brothers knot cuff links:

On a similar note can I wear one of these cuff links as a guest at a wedding?

Anyone ever stretch out their shoes i.e. Allen Edmonds around the base of the foot (widest part)? Is it good for the shoe? I'm thinking I just need a little room.

Also, what blend of colors for a navy jacket is a versatile? Like the materials, blend of navy/grey, birdseye, etc.
Looking to perhaps get a nice navy jacket that I can wear comfortably with denim as well as trousers.

Any idea on where to find my ideal dress shirt?:

1) Slim/tailored fit (thinking more European cut, similar to Brooks Brothers Extra Slim Fit)
2) Spread collar
3) Poplin weave or similar weave that's good for wearing under suits
4) No chest pockets
5) Side pleats or no pleats at all (trying to avoid center back pleat)
6) Barrel cuff (single button)

Would greatly appreciate any help on this. Budget is <$100 per shirt

Jiralnom,.

These Charles Tyrwhitt shirts fulfil conditions 1 to 4, 6 and your price condition. I don't know if they fulfil condition 5.

sure... a cobbler can stretch shoes a little. maybe 1/4 to 1/2 size I'm guessing.... if it's just a little there is nothing wrong with it or to worry about the shoe.

navy blazer is one of the most versatile jackets you can own... it's almost impossible to F-up! any pix of your ideas?

Thanks guys, I was just wondering if you had any threads/blogs/links in mind that are focused on the absolute beginner. what I'm looking for is a thread that'll help a noob with

  • Color Coordination
  • Pattern and Texture Coordination
  • Contrast Combination

http://www.styleforum.net/t/284037/practical-thoughts-on-coherent-combinations-for-beginners/390

I found the following thread and I"m reading it right now. I wouldn't say I'm a complete beginner b/c I don't dress that horribly, mostly business casual all the time (I'm a college student), but I'd like to add more to my personal style. I've been following many blogs and been reading up as much as I can.
