what will happen to a shoe that is worn too often? will the leather turn to dust in front of your eyes and then explode in a flash of white smoke all while you are giving a presentation to an important client? or will something more subtle happen, like small cracks start appearing at the creases? or even more subtle, the leather starts to rot from the inside? how long can one reasonably expect a shoe that is worn every other day to last, with proper care?

Looking to buy a pair of Dolce & Gabbana shoes online off LVR, but I'm worried about sizing.
I wear a 41 in Common Projects Achilles low, would it be safe to say I'm a sz 40 in Dolce & Gabbana?

    Thanks

What color trousers (and level of formality) would these Alden's go with?

Would these go with a suit or just less formal uses? Are they more for summer or year round? I ask especially because I heard the shoes should never be a lighter color than the trousers.

Well, they're made of mother of pearl and they're made of mother of pearl.

It does not add to the practicality of the buttons, It's yet another level of luxury option.

It's simply a matter of taste. Some people prefer MOP buttons on a blazer over silver or gold. Some prefer silver or gold. Some prefer horn buttons for a more casual look. It's simply about what you like.

Not with the kind of suit most people would wear to an office. Pants in tan, light gray, and less common light colors such as white would work with those shoes. They're for summer and maybe spring and autumn - it depends on the climate (not for rainy weather).
