If I saw a 1L wearing a suit and a gray shirt I would just assume he doesn't know how to dress and not read into it.

I would say that you don't want too look monochromatic. I also assume that as a trial lawyer, you want to attract the least amount of attention and opinions upon yourself, while looking classic and respectful.

Go with the grey suit, white shirt, black shoes, white pocket square. You can use the tie you have if you must, no black veat, no pocket watch.

exactly... but get a better tie if possible...the black tie is not the best option but not something that will peg you as a hopeless tool either.

Wear a light blue shirt if you want something that isn't as stark as white. Don't wear grey.

I'm looking for brown casual shoes. Any good suggestions? I'm still a student and just bought a more expensive pair, so it schould be <100€(130$).

Any suggestions for a double monk boot? All I can find are a Jimmy Choo and a John Lobb, I'd like to stay under $450.

they seem a bit uncommon in boots... that's all I could find as well.... does it have to be double?

I was just thinking it would be more "fun" to have a double in a boot form versus a shoe
