How do I get my classified to show up in my signature? I've seen others do this but can't figure it out..

Yes, they generally use quality fabrics and good construction. They need to fit you properly, but that's a different matter altogether.

I'm shopping for a pair of gray flannel trousers. When shopping, how do I know these are "flannel trousers" and not gray dress pants. Is it a matter of feel? Would the tag just say "wool"?

    I'll ask this question here:

I am looking at some pants on ebay that are a 34 waist. I am a 32 waist. Would the pants still look right if they are brought in. Would a simple alterations shop do or would a tailor be better? I know that price varies, but what would generally be a price range.

    Thanks,

Not sure if this is what you want to do, but I had the same issue, and I'm really inexperienced with the pinch test. I just pulled some of the lining stitching away at the bottom and peeked inside. You should be able to see the canvassing pretty clearly if it's there.

Flannel is a type of fabric, so flannel trousers are just a kind of dress trouser. Flannel is pretty easy to recognize, so you shouldn't have to rely on them being identified as flannel on the tag.

As a general sort of rule, taking pants in by 1" is rarely a problem. However, 2" is often around the limit on what you'd want to try. To an extent it will depend on the cut of the pants, the skill of the tailor, and how much money you're willing to invest.

My advice? If you wear a 32, buy a 32. Don't go buying a 34 and hoping you can alter it so it'll work.

Wouldn't the person at the alterations shop who performs the alterations be a tailor (or the female equivalent - a seamstress)?

Anywhere to get a VERY similar jacket like this one? It's sold by Uniqlo but they seem to be all out everywhere.

    Looking to stay >~$200

    Thanks!

Thank you. Let me clarify though. The pants aren't pants alone. They part of a suit.

    Thanks again,

If you're a 38 or 40, at that price point you could try Lands End Canvas. But the LEC herringbone sport coat has some details this one doesn't (3-button, throat latch, button flap pockets, brown football buttons).

You can get similar brown wing-tips from virtually anywhere, I have a pair of Grensons which look very similar. The only unique thing in the picture is the tips on the laces, which he could well have added himself.

I would try J. Crew. They are having a sale right now and then an additional 30% off of sale items if you enter promo code "MUSTHAVE" at checkout.
