Anyone has experience of import duty with DHL?

I am going to order a jacket from UK, they ship via DHL. How can I pay DHL if there's an import duty? Will they bill me? How much I should pay? I heard it's like 10%.

What's the chance of they don't let me pay import duty?

I had a package shipped via DHL not a long time ago, package was worth 90$, had 30$ to pay to the delivery man when he was at my door. Ordered from a US company (shoes).

I´ve received many orders from DHL, specially when purchashing something from MR.Porter. They´ve killed me, charging me sometimes up to 90% of the items price. But in Argentina is like that, customs suck big time.

The rules state "New members must wait 45 days in order to be able to post. " so I assume this applies not only to sellers but to anyone who wants to start a thread in B&S. You can reply to pre-existing threads at this point.

so you don't live in the US, and you ordered from a store based in the US?

You live in Argentina? I thought porter is Delivery duty paid.

Anyone has more experience with DHL ship from europe to USA customs issues?

To my country is delivery duty unpaid. I prefer fedex because they don´t make me pay that much to customs. DHL is just the worst in that department.

^^ I bought a pair of boots from Carmina in Spain, which were shipped via DHL. I think they marked them as "2 horsehide" or something on the customs form, and I wasn't assessed any additional fees.
