I can't comment on real tailored stuff, but I will say that about a year ago someone sold off a boat load of Jay Kos shirts on B&S (also on Ebay). I talked with them (can't remember who) and they were helping to liquidate a bunch of stuff because Jay Kos was moving stores. I picked up about 6 shirts at about $40-50 a pop and let me tell you, they were the bargain of the year for me. Fantastic materials - I mean really, really good cotton, cotton+linen, and cotton+silk blends with great construction. In retrospect, I wish I had gotten about 10 more. That's as much as I know, hope it helps.

Anyone know where I can find wool over-the-calf dress socks in a solid medium gray? I got the "dark gray" Pantherella pair that Sierra Trading Post has, but they are too dark for the suit trousers I'm trying to match.

What do you all think about these? Color is listed as Steel-gray, i'm not sure they're even available, i saw them at yoox. But im wondering if my sentiments of them are accurate. For context, wearing them with dark denim...

I don't think these are so bad. The really ugly parts will be covered by the jeans. The rest seems OK.

    A. You don't have to exactly match your trousers.

    B. Really? You can't find grey socks? The internets are your friend.

I know I don't have to exactly match the trousers, but I'd like to get close in this case.

Of course I can find gray socks, but finding wool, over-the-calf dress socks in a gray lighter than dark charcoal is proving rather difficult.

That's why I came here... to this thread... ON THE INTERNETS. :nodding:

Better quality boot - Grenson Fred or Loake Bedale?
Similar looks, but which would you say will last the course better?
    Thanks.

Noob question: what accounts for the comfort of a dress shoe? I want to vibram-ize this old pair of Bruno Magli oxfords -- the most comfortable pair ever -- but I'm afraid I'll ruin it.

Thanks, brah. I also have a few of their shirts that I really love. Great collar on them. I was in the running for a SC on eBay but alas was outbid. :cloud:
