Thank God the block list still works around here, anyway.

What are the appropriate times of year for chambray shirts. Are they 3-season wear?

What is the life expectancy of Brioni ties? I just picked up my first Brioni-chose it because the double Windsor knot was perfect. It was one of the most expensive tie labels at Saks, but I'm wondering how long will a tie with such a fine weave last.

Silk is extremely durable. As long as you tie/untie it correctly and take care of it, it will last a long time!

Untie it "correctly"? I would assume that you mean "gently," but is there some kind of intricate ritualistic tie-knot loosening ceremony of which I am unaware? [IMG]

I permit myself to wear chambray year-round. As long as the color is acceptable for the season, and as long as the rest of the outfit is also season-appropriate, I think it can be pulled off.

Untie it the reverse of how you tied it, rather than pulling the length of the narrow end through the knot as is often done and whick risks stretching/distorting the silk.

Depends how many times you wear it, if it gets dirty and you send it out to get cleaned...

Navy blazer question... I almost always wear it with charcoal or dark grey pants, but I'm thinking about wearing it with dark brown flannel pants. 100% okay and really good choice, or no?

I wonder if this is why my black satin bow tie is fraying... I untie it like shoe laces (by pulling the open end) rather than loosening the knot.
