What do people mean when they say 3 roll 2 or 3 roll 2.5 (IIRC) for a coat?

3 roll 2: When a jacket has 3 buttons but the roll of the lapel extends to the second button. This renders the third button more or less useless as the jacket is buttoned most naturally at the second button.

3 roll 2.5: Same scenario above but the roll extends halfway between the second and third button. This generally makes the third button more feasible for buttoning.

Ralph Lauren's Italian shoemaker's identity is one mystery that has never been completely solved. Sometime in April 2009, a rumor has started that they're made by Silvano Sassetti, but this has never been confirmed or denied. For what it worth, Silvano Sassetti is known to make a huge range of shoes, from cheap rubber soles with funky designs to impeccable cream of the crop type.
