Thoughts on this coat? Yay or nay? It's $88 but would get half off as I am an employee. Thanks!

How does the Lauren by Ralph Lauren suits compare to Brook Brothers suits?

BB is 2 for $1000.

RL is on sale at Macy's for $250. Reg price is $499.

Is the RL suit a much worse suit?

How good is the BB suit. Is it one that compares well to Canali?

In short. Yes. Only seen blue label at Macy's. While BL might have full canvassing, odds are that one is fused or half canvassed.

You will find a little bit more room in the toes, but you will have to be concerned with the shoe being to big in the rest of the foot. The 348 last is a pretty norrow last that unfortunately doesn't work for some feet.

With C&J, I normally wear a UK11 and this is size that I got when I purchased a pair of Hallams earlier this year. They fit my feet well but I have a pretty slender US D width (UK E width) foot.

+1 on PLS's comments. The Lauren line at Macy's (sometimes referred to as Green Label) isn't very nice at all, IMHO. This is what you will typcially find at most of RL's outlet locations. The BB at twice the price is a much better option.

The 1818 line is still fused, I believe, but the fabrics and the choices of fits are much better. If you are a slender guy, the Fitzgerald cut is very nice option. It has flat front pants, slender lapels (but not skinny lapels), and some of the suits come with side vents (which I prefer over a single back vent).

Hi all. First time poster here. I would like to get some guidance on shirt and tie combos. I have a dark gray suit with a light gray chalk-stripe, and I am not sure what shirt and tie combinations work well with a striped suit. The stripe is fairly subtle and I know most anything will go with gray, but I am not sure what to look for as far as patterns in the shirt, tie, etc. If it's important, the suit is a two button, notch lapel, with side vents. Thanks for the help!

Evening wedding reception, will be wearing a medium grey suit. Are brown shoes appropriate or should I be wearing black? (I'm thinking brown will be fine...)

Looking for anyone with experience with www.mytailor.com,

Why does it ask whether you want a slim fit, regular fit, or loose fit even when you specify the measurements off of your best-fitting shirt? Isn't the point of entering the measurements this way to get a shirt to match these measurements exactly?
