Bow tie looks a bit big but it might be the angle. Also, is that a (short!?) morning coat or has the bottom of your coast just rolled over? If it's a morning coat then it should not be worn to an evening function.
It's a monk strap shoe. I have a pair of double monks that I have have worn with both raw denim and suits in the past. Monks are a nice versatile shoe and the suede certainly makes it acceptable for casual wear.
What is considered "Evening Attire". specifically elegant evening attire for a casino night party?
Tuxedo. If the words "evening" and "elegant" are anywhere near an event I go straight to the tuxedo.
I think it also depends on who is saying it and what kind of event you know it is supposed to be. If my friend Tyler invited me to an event that said this he would probably have on a black blazer over an orange polo shirt, cargo shorts and sandals on. If my VP said it I would assume tuxedo.
Anyone have any ideas?
Very true. I also think I am guilty of thinking more "Monte Carlo" when I read "casino" while I should probably be thinking "Atlantic City." I suppose I am just too quick to jump at an opportunity to dress up.
I answered this one about a page back...
Here, the going rate for Park Ave's seems to be in the $80-$100 range. If you're a 9.5, I'll sell you a gently used pair for around that price.
Holy smokes, what is this madness!
This jacket look familiar to anyone? (And does it really fit slim? Without some pesky photographer pinning it back?)
That looks like a J Crew model to me, though I couldn't find the jacket on their site. There also seems to be some sort of curvy WWM Upland action near the middle button. Hmm...
Sorry if this has been asked a million times before, but I'm concerned that the couple suits I have don't fit that well. They were just basic suits OTR at Macys, and then I used their tailors. I need to upgrade my wardrobe to coincide with a new job. Cost is an issue, so please keep that in mind. That said, can someone give me some suggestions for getting the best fitting suit for my buck? So far I've considered buying from Macys and going to a better tailor, buying from somewhere like Brooks Brothers, or trying a MTM service like TopShelf or Tom James? Thanks
Good point. The invitation reads 'Vegas is coming to our city. Black jack &Texas holdem, etc'. Sophisticated& Sassy Evening Attire.' Any clue? I was wondering if I should wear a black tux or a black suit, white shirt and black tie. It seems they are mimicing Casino Royale and the whole Casino vibe.
I think this might fit the bill:
Sorry about that. I am a 8.5d I believe, unfortunately.
